GRAND ASSEMBLY SCHOLARSHIP BALL 2012
The 56th Annual Massachusetts Rainbow Grand Assembly Scholarship Ball will be held at The Manor, 42 W Boylston St., Rte 12, West Boylston, MA on Friday, November 16, 2012. If you would like to view pictures of this beautiful location, the website is www.ourmanor.com.
The doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and a buffet of pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, fruit, vegetables, chips & dips will be served. During the buffet, soda will also be included. All of this is included in the $25.00 price of the BALL Ticket! Same as the last three years!
During the course of the evening we will have the traditional Crowning of the Ball Queen, Grand Officers' March and the awarding of two trophies, one to the assembly selling the most tickets and the other to the assembly that increases its sales the most over last years. We will also have special surprise awards during the evening – we can’t share these now or they won’t be a surprise !
Tim Blanchard, Nova Music, will keep us on our feet and dancing this evening !
Our Grand Assembly photographer, Mom Marie Caruso and Company, will be available for pictures. Photos are optional and you must pay the vendor directly. This is a great opportunity to have formal portraits of couples, families or your Assembly taken.
Tickets MUST be purchased in advance. Please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope to have the tickets sent to you. If tickets are to be picked up at the door, please make sure the person picking up the tickets arrives early to distribute the tickets to your members and guests. NO ONE will be allowed into the Ballroom WITHOUT A TICKET. Because of the food, no tickets will be sold at the door. Requests for tickets must be accompanied by a check for the total amount due, the attached order form, and the name of your Ball Queen candidate. All requests must be postmarked by November 6, 2012. Requests postmarked after November 6th will not be honored and will be returned. There will be NO REFUNDS for any reason.

Each assembly is requested to select a girl to represent her assembly as a candidate for Ball Queen. A Queen and her Court will be selected from these girls. ANY girl is eligible to run unless she has previously been chosen as Ball Queen. The candidates must register at the Scholarship table upon arrival at the Ball to receive instructions. Candidates must wear a long formal gown and provide the name of their escort at registration.
DeMolay members and friends of Rainbow Girls should purchase their tickets through an Assembly Mother Advisor. This is a good opportunity to bring prospective or Pledge members!
All attending MUST adhere to the dress code of the evening, which is long formal or tea length dresses (mid calf) for young ladies and tuxedos or suits for gentlemen. Anyone not adhering to the dress code will not be admitted – it will be strictly enforced.
Please inform all attending that once you leave the building, you will not be allowed to return.
We are looking forward to a wonderful evening and hope that each assembly will purchase at least two tickets. Please remember that the Ball is the Scholarship Committee's biggest fund raiser each year and all profits from this event go towards the Scholarships awarded at Grand Assembly to our Rainbow Girls who are furthering their education.
. We TRULY encourage and appreciate attendance by our Sponsoring Bodies!!! Thank you for your support.
